He speaks:
"Through
the window of my soul"
reveals how my life journey is reflected through my paintings.
“Looking
out”
(1993) Water colour on
paper, 15”x 15”
Through
the
window of
my soul,
I
began my journey into the deeper realities of life.
“Inner
self”
(1995) Acrylic on paper 18”x20”
As
I peeped out
into the world, I was led reversely into
my inner self
where I saw the
unclear images of
reality.
“In
and out”
(1995) Acrylic on
paper 18”x20”
Gradually
these
unclear images began
to reveal themselves.
A window with a ladder reveals
the interior and exterior journey of my
self.
(1995) Acrylic on
paper 18”x30”
In
this transaction I began to see
my strengths
and weaknesses, wholeness and brokenness.
“Encounter”
(1995) Acrylic on paper
18”x20”
In
this brokenness I encountered Jesus in
the depth of
my being,
who consoled me.
“Solidarity”
(1995) Acrylic on
paper 18”x20”
I
began to identify myself with the broken body of Christ,
and at the same time experienced the love of my
Mother.
“His
body”
(1995) Acrylic on
paper 20”x26”
The
niches led me to see the universal body of Christ.
This
led me
to the Church on Earth, i.e. all the people of
God.
“Storm”
(1995)
Oil on Canvas 26”x36”
Yet
something was missing.
There was a storm raging within, a
battle going on within me.
“Lost”
(1996)
Acrylic
on Canvas 20”x30”
I was feeling lonely in the midst of
all my friends and family.
“Longing”
(1996)
Acrylic
on
Canvas 12”x15”
Something
was holding me from being free.
That
was none other than the one whom I loved more than myself,
and was ready to do any thing for her.
